Liaoning Travel Tips

2007 Dalian Beer Festival starts late August
Best bar in Dalian is the Irish bar, The Tin Whistle. Great craic!
The Super 8 Motel is great accommodation if you want to keep the costs down. It's outside the city, near the beaches and transport to the city is easy and just 1yuan.
LUSHUN 旅顺 - Don't even think about it. This place is off-limits to foreigners. I avoided being detained by the skin of my teeth.

I've been to Liaoning twice and on both occasions, for the same reasons: My friend, sisi and the Dalian International Beer Festival. I'll be making it a third time come August 2007 for the same reasons.
